Split Running Shorts

Amazing and Comfortable! The moment you put them on you feel the comfort, went for a run straight away and the difference was massive. Freedom of movement, storage and high quality. Will be ordering more from Ben and the folks. Will be wearing these in the Inverness half Marathon in March!

These shorts are a real winner. Extremely comfortable and very lightweight. I really appreciate the inclusion of two rear zipped pockets (and handy little key clip). Looking forward to wearing them again next race day.

I just recently purchased these shorts and wore them for the Saucony London 10K race recently to try them out & I can genuinely say they are absolutely fantastic.
The shorts feel so light you almost forget you’re wearing them, and they are honestly so comfortable, so much so they are definitely my favourite shorts now.
Having them designed by a runner for runners is also a major plus over the usual big brands.
I’d 100% recommend these shorts to everyone, I need to get myself another pair before they sell out again in my size.

This light amazing running shorts is one of a kind. I have tried Nike’s 4-in shorts and the UA 5-in running shorts, but Ben’s split running shorts is just simply the best I tried. I have found my comfort run with this split running shorts. Definitely the shorts I will be wearing on 10K and Half Marathon races. Absolutely recommended product!

These race shorts are easily the best I’ve ever worn on a start line. Feather‑light, super comfortable, and made from material that feels built for speed. The only caveat: the gel holder could be sturdier for longer distances. But for anything up to a half marathon, it’s a non‑issue—the dual zip pockets make carrying a couple of gels effortless and secure.

Had my eye on a pair of the split shorts for a while, so asked my sis to get me a pair for my birthday. She got me a L size and they were just a bit too snug for me, so got in touch with the team at Parkesrunning on the web chat and explained that I'd like to change them for a XL size (with the story about sis and birthday).

With no quibbles, they sent me a new pair immediately and I got the confirmation they were on the way, even before i could get to the post office to return the L size pair.

Original plan was to keep them for race day, but been out in them on a few runs already and I will probably have to get another pair for race day, as I'm loving these so much.

Lightweight, non-restrictive and comfortable shorts. In fact I’d go as far as to say these are 100% my new favourite shorts!
Recently worn at the Firenze Marathon where I ran a personal best 3hr 26min taking 16 minutes of my previous best time!

Quality like Soar but much cheaper (and more pockets)

I bought the split running shorts after my Nike Aeroswift shorts started to come apart after about 6 months.
These shorts are very similar in feel and have a really good elasticated pouch which fit my phone perfectly, two zip pockets too!
Really pleased with them and a great price too!
Small fine for me and I am 5’7” with 30/32 inch waist.

Currently training for my first Backyard Ultra incl some 100+ miles weeks so I’ve given these shorts a good sweat test. The storage options in the shorts are fantastic and the standout feature for me is just how soft they feel - I think softest I’ve ever known. Totally recommend but my one watch out is sizing. The size guide suggested I opted for Small based on waist size which was surprising. I tried both Small and my normal Medium and Medium was definitely the better option. Stick to your normal short size when ordering I think.

After years of watching Ben wear his own branded shorts in YouTube videos we finally get to own a pair. Lightweight, true to size and they look great!

Took these new split running shorts for their first run here in Majorca in 33 degree heat, very comfortable no rubbing and to be honest I hardly knew I was wearing them they’re so good, I had a gel in the back pocket and room key (credit card size) in the zip pocket both very secure. Can’t recommend these shorts highly enough and at a very competitive price.

Lovely shorts. Great materials and very light. Pocket on each side of the inner short for the mobile phone and keys.. perfect pocket for gels on the back side. And they are looking great!

When I first got them I was thinking if they were to short but that’s only because I usually where boring long shorts that rub!
These shorts are very light and you can hardly feel them while running. I wore them on our club Mallusk Harriers 5mile mile race which I did amazing well! The shorts helped keep me cool (down there) and I loved them.
I will be buying more. 💯 percent recommend.

I have been holding out for these to drop and glad I did! I have been around Swindon Outlet park tried Nike, Under Armour and North Face but have no clue what planet the designers are on? No one seems to have decent pockets and the inside liner resembles swimming shorts?? Ben Parkes is a runner who designs kit for running! First off the price is extremely competitive! There is reflective material on the front and rear for safety, there are two pockets. One for gels to sit and a more secure one for personal valuables. Big enough for a phone if you wanted but more likely used for a car key. Handy lightweight unintrusive clip and zip! The liner is a proper liner, small and discreet to protect one’s dignity! The waist is elasticated with a draw string if required. I am 5’11” with a 10.5 stone skinny runner physique! I chose Medium which fit really well. Next time I may choose Large but I am very happy with medium. I have struggled with the 2 piece shorts making me cramp up when worn (Could obviously be physiological) so thank you Ben for this split retro if you like option!!!

Received the Ben Parkes black split shorts over a month ago as a gift and am absolutely delighted with them. I asked for something from the website as have had other items that have been amazing too, so was really pleased to get these.
They fit amazingly, are super comfortable, have two zipped pockets and a larger pocket for a phone, and suit my needs perfectly.
Will probably not buy shorts from anywhere else now!

Quality shorts. Light weight and good rear pockets for keys and gels. Hold them securely and no bouncing around. Absolute bargain in the sale.
