Currently training for my first Backyard Ultra incl some 100+ miles weeks so I’ve given these shorts a good sweat test. The storage options in the shorts are fantastic and the standout feature for me is just how soft they feel - I think softest I’ve ever known. Totally recommend but my one watch out is sizing. The size guide suggested I opted for Small based on waist size which was surprising. I tried both Small and my normal Medium and Medium was definitely the better option. Stick to your normal short size when ordering I think.

After years of watching Ben wear his own branded shorts in YouTube videos we finally get to own a pair. Lightweight, true to size and they look great!

Took these new split running shorts for their first run here in Majorca in 33 degree heat, very comfortable no rubbing and to be honest I hardly knew I was wearing them they’re so good, I had a gel in the back pocket and room key (credit card size) in the zip pocket both very secure. Can’t recommend these shorts highly enough and at a very competitive price.

Lovely shorts. Great materials and very light. Pocket on each side of the inner short for the mobile phone and keys.. perfect pocket for gels on the back side. And they are looking great!

When I first got them I was thinking if they were to short but that’s only because I usually where boring long shorts that rub!
These shorts are very light and you can hardly feel them while running. I wore them on our club Mallusk Harriers 5mile mile race which I did amazing well! The shorts helped keep me cool (down there) and I loved them.
I will be buying more. 💯 percent recommend.

I have been holding out for these to drop and glad I did! I have been around Swindon Outlet park tried Nike, Under Armour and North Face but have no clue what planet the designers are on? No one seems to have decent pockets and the inside liner resembles swimming shorts?? Ben Parkes is a runner who designs kit for running! First off the price is extremely competitive! There is reflective material on the front and rear for safety, there are two pockets. One for gels to sit and a more secure one for personal valuables. Big enough for a phone if you wanted but more likely used for a car key. Handy lightweight unintrusive clip and zip! The liner is a proper liner, small and discreet to protect one’s dignity! The waist is elasticated with a draw string if required. I am 5’11” with a 10.5 stone skinny runner physique! I chose Medium which fit really well. Next time I may choose Large but I am very happy with medium. I have struggled with the 2 piece shorts making me cramp up when worn (Could obviously be physiological) so thank you Ben for this split retro if you like option!!!

I very much enjoyed the first few runs with these shorts - they are lightweight but also offers the comfort of some pockets, one of them with a zip for keys etc.

A really good, light set of shorts which I have used already. If I were to buy again, I'd size up, but that was my fault as I should know better from other pairs I've bought! Really good.

Excellent fit, the undershorts stay in place and don't ride up.
The overshort can bunch up a bit between thighs but it's hardly noticeable.
Lovely big sidepockets which hold my phone and a 500ml squeezey bottle perfectly, nice and easy access and removal and replacing of either phone or bottle is easy.
Smaller pocket with clip for keys is also a really good size and would probably hold a gel or two.
I've not yet used the main back pocket but again, it's big and I'd say another squeezey bottle may fit.
Really happy with my purchase and will definitely be purchasing more, am also keeping my fingers crossed for some bright snazzy colours hopefully coming soon. 🤞🤞
