Welcome to the Advanced plan!
I’ve designed this for anyone who has already run a marathon and is looking to step up to the next level with some more structured training,
Designed for people targeting a 2:55 to 3:15 finish time.
The first week is 32 miles or 51km.
The biggest week is 66 miles or 103km.
There are five to six runs each week.
The plan has both miles and kilometres.
It is 18 weeks in length, with structured training, recovery and taper weeks.
There are suggested paces for all the runs.
Terminology page describing each type of run, so you’ll always know what to do.

I followed Ben's programme aiming at a sub 3:10 Marathon and Chicago qualifier.....got a sub 2:55 and a Boston qualifier instead!
The plan always felt just spot on for me. Workouts and volume were just right to challenge and improve myself without causing overtraining.
I arrived fresh to the finish line, and my last miles were the fastest. Therefore I know I could jave actually done even better. I will never forget my last corner.

I was really happy with the plan, especially the different sessions and I learned a lot from the long runs and specifically targeting marathon paced miles within them. Overall the plan helped me take 15 minutes off my pb in Chicago so I was absolutely delighted and the plan was really good value for money as well. Definitely recommend.
The level four marathon plan worked perfectly to me! I just got a 22min PB and during the 18 weeks I have never felt so fit and strong. For my next marathon I will get a custom plan with Ben for sure!
