While training for a sub 20 minute 5K last summer I purchased this plan with the goal of running 1:30 half marathon in early 2025. I was able to PB with 19:48 in a 5K race last October. I also ran my first 10K at 42:30 a month later in November. I signed up for the Oakland Half Marathon with the plan to start the first week of January. As life tends to go not as planned I got really sick traveling back home at the start of the year and had to really rest for a couple weeks. I slowly ramped up mileage with easy runs for another couple weeks so not really starting training until week 5 of the plan. With only the last 7 weeks of the training plan until the half I decided to adjust my half marathon goal to 1:35. Fortunately my legs were able to handle the jump in weekly mileage and I was able to not miss a single day of training, scheduling around full-time work and family time. I felt confident and rested coming into the race and stuck with the 1:35 pacer up through mile 11. Our overall pace was so much faster he had to slow down but I kept the faster pace for the last 2 miles. Official finish time 1:32:54 and couldn’t have done it without the plan. If I do a complete 12 week plan with consistent strength training and better sleep I am confident I can achieve my next goal of 1:25 for the San Francisco Half Marathon at the end of July. Also I plan on purchasing the marathon training aiming for 2026.
Helped me take 8 minutes off my best, following four years of unstructured running and wondering why I couldn’t get any faster. Would recommend to anyone, simple and easy to understand and follow. Purchased a plan for my wife who is gearing up for the Great Birmingham run. Thanks Ben!
Fantastic, ultra lightweight, invisible feel, chafe free, super cool running vest. Expensive but worth every penny, highly recommend.
For reference I am 5’6” 63kg and wear M, perfect fit.
Getting It Done in Rome 😎
Just ran my 1st 1/2 marathon today! Wasn’t sure where to start with training but knew I loved Ben’s YouTube channel! Bought the plan and it worked so well! Ran a 1:18 half and I give so much credit to Ben’s training plan! Would recommend to anyone serious about hitting a goal!
Got a shirt I had been eying up for a while anyway. The fit and quality of any Ben Parkes produce are always top drawer and I continue to recommend them to others

For my first HM I had used a local coach and finished just under 2 hours. It was a great experience but too expensive for me to use for every time.
The Ben Parkes plan was really easy to follow and it was easy to taylor to my goal pace. This helped me fit 95% of the runs in around work, family etc.
End result was a 1:51:14, which was a PB of over 8 minutes! Pretty epic considering I did absolutely no strength or conditioning at all 😂.
If you stick to the plans you will make definitely make progress! Thanks Ben and Sarah 🤩
Tried to go sub4 for years, but never really got there. After having used Bens inbetween plan I gave Bens Marathon plan a try and what can I say. Volume and variabilty plus the added strength training really worked for me rersulting in a 3:57 @ Bienwaldmarathon near Karlsruhe/Germany. Needless to say wearing my Gettingitdone singlet and cap :-)
Followed 85/90% of this plan (because of work commitments) making sure to hit all the MP, Interval and tempo sessions, and got a sub 3 hour result in Rome, Italy! Thanks Ben, thanks Sarah!!
Excited for my race tomorrow - love the colour and style of these wraps. Make great sweat bands
I recently followed the Advanced + HM plan, more or less to the letter. The dream was a sub 1.25 after already achieving a 1.28 the year previous. Even the thought of running at the pace required was a scary prospect! I turned up to the North Lincs HM and managed 1.22! I’ve recently purchased the Advanced 10k plan aiming to achieve a sub 37 in June.
Many thanks Ben, exception plans 👏
