I used this for the London Vitality 10,000 race. I hadn't previously run 10k at goal pace so the fastest I had done was 67 minutes, and I finished the race with 55:01 which was exactly what I had trained for. Ben's plan was amazing, my 5k came down to 26:51 from over 30 as well. The plan has lots of different runs so they never get boring and I was always excited for the next week. I 100% recommend these plans and to watch Ben and Sarah's YouTube as my running has improved dramatically since I started almost a year ago. Thank you Ben!
Really happy with this, great way to structure my training around. Can really see myself doing this program over several cycles just adjusting the time goals as I get fitter.
Followed the plan pretty closely by creating the workouts in Garmin connect for my first proper 10k, turned into an almost 4 minute PB with still quite a lot in the tank.
Immediately after the race I got the L3 to prep for the next race.
Every once in a while I traded an easy run for an easy bike when my shins we're complaining, still worked out great !! would recommend for sure, actually have both my parents and a coworker following Ben's Plans
I'm currently on week 7 of the 10k plan, trying to get my time to 55mins. I just love the variety of all the runs which has massively helped keep me on target and sticking to the plan. The PDF is laid out really clearly and nothing is so complicated that you wouldn't remember what to do out on the runs. Great work Ben, can't wait to step up to the half marathon plan next year.
Having completed and enjoyed the L1 10k plan last year I decided to have a go at the L2 for my next race targeting sub 50.
As with the L1 plan very simple to follow adding variety and structure to my weeks. Managed to go sub 50 in my race and will certainly look to move to the L3 plan for a future 10k and looking at using one of the HM plans for my next race!
