I'm on the first week of the plan and I already love it, it's so simple to follow and looking at the weeks I have ahead I'm not scared or unsure at what I need to do. Looking forward to my first 10k
I’m on the third week of 10k beginner plan. The plan suits me really well. Three days of training plus I incorporate three days of strength training. The plan also consists of speed training sessions which I was always struggling to fit in my week training, and explains which pace you can use for your goal. Besides it’s done in miles and km. So whatever you prefer you choose and follow it. I really find this plan easy to use. It’s well structured. I highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to conquer the first 10K.
I completed the couch to 5k and with a 10k race booked wanted some help with the last couple of weeks of my 10k training as I am 46 and need structure so I don't injure myself at my old age :-). The plan is great, it was perfect for the final stages of my training and I got my first (very hilly, wet and windy) 10k in 67 minutes. Pic of me at the finish line - utterly elated. Now onto the 10k improver plan and a goal to get it under an hour for Manchester in May.
I have been really enjoying this plan! I wish it came with a podcast of some sort that told you when to run/walk, it would make things easier.
Only been following the plan for a few weeks and I can now run 8k non-stop. The the plan is nice and easy to follow.
If you want to get your first 10k this program is the one for achieving that. Easy to follow and great for beginners.
Just achieved my goal time on a 10km run thanks to Ben's beginner plan. I really enjoyed the training and managed it all without any injuries which as an older runner (mid 50s) was pretty important to me. I highly recommend it.
Doing my 1st 10k in February. This training programme is just what I need.Looking forward to working my way through it.
Easy to follow with a gradual increase until you're there!
This is a great plan and super easy to follow!
