Frequently Asked Questions

Are the training plans in miles or kilometers?

We have written the training plans in both miles and kms, both of which are included in the PDF file so you can refer to whichever one suits you.

The pace charts are also in miles and km's too.

How will I receive my plan?

You will receive an email with a link to download your plan straight after purchase.

You can also click a link on the checkout success page.

This will download the PDF file to your computer, tablet or phone.

What format do the training plans come in?

The plans are a downloadable PDF file which you can view on any device or print off.

You will be emailed the link to download your plan.

Please note the plan can only be downloaded a maximum of 5 times.

I feel I am in between two training plans, which one should I go for?

Each plan gives the number of days of training per week, so we’d advise going for the one which best fits in with your current lifestyle and commitments.

Also consider the number of miles or km's for the first week and peak week and compare that figure to where you are currently.

The best success will come from following a plan that is achievable given your lifestyle and current fitness.

Great plan to stick to it

This plan looks great and finally I intend to stick to a plan. And how nice would it be when a plan comes together. For me it should all happen in the Bonn HM in April. So I count the weeks back and get it done!

Very well constructed running plan.
I was able to take 1minute to my previous PR and this is only my second official race.
Thank you so much for the help.

Pb with this plan.

My goal was to get a sub 2 hour half coming off a previous best of 2:10 and its safe to say that I exceeded my own expectations with a 1:50:01, which is all thanks to this plan. Legs felt great and didn’t get too fatigued at any point. This was easy to follow and even if you are new to running this is a great plan to help you reach your goals.

L2 HM plan following L2 10k plan

Did 7 week's 10k beginner plan and felt I had more to give, so bought the Level 2 10k plan, which got me through my first 10k race which I was thrilled with. Have now moved straight into the Level 2 Half Marathon plan. So easy to follow, takes the guess work out of running training. Adaptable to different target finish times and abilities. Encouraging progress and great end results. Would recommend.

Great North Run round 2.

After last year's GNR in 2:12 using the beginner plan I bought the improver plan.
Again it was a great training aid helped with structure and motivation when needed. Great mix of sessions.
I ran the GNR again this year with 20 minute improvement on last year's time. Thanks for the plan and I will be back in the future.

Ironman eat ya heart ❤️ out!

Heeeeeeelllllloooooooooo everybody,I bought the plan to sharpen my running skills for my upcoming Marbella half Ironman. It is challenging enough to keep my body shifting in the right direction and formulated in an easy to read way that does exactly what it says on the tin. Ben has created a great plan with lots of variety that literally ‘keeps you on your toes’. He does this with tempo runs, easy runs, speed sessions and progressive runs. I’m aiming for a sub 2 hour half marathon (legs will be tired after 56 mile bike)….. so far, so good. Happy running 🏃‍♂️🏃🏃‍♀️

Great training plans! Really happy with my progress and results!

I only picked up running at the ripe old age of 50. Since I have never been a runner I knew I would need help. Luckily I saw Ben’s YouTube videos and decided to check these training plans. I absolutely love the structure and thought some workouts look daunting, stuck with it and had great results! I started with the Marathon Improver Plan and ran London 2024 in under 4 hours. Used the same plan to run another marathon within 3 months and improved my time by 8 minutes. So now, I’ve bought a Half-Marathon and 10K improver plans. So really happy with these plans. Would love if these came with a race day pacing strategy but perhaps that would be too individualised for such plans. But otherwise, I’m loving these plans.

Improver Half Marathon Plan

I’ve been on this plan for only two weeks and already I’ve gone from unproductive to productive and now peaking on Garmin.
I’ve had my Fenix since 2019 and have never seen peaking on it before!
The programming is brilliant and gets me out to complete my days training even when I’m not feeling it after a busy day, it’s not super time consuming and can be adapted to fit my schedule.
Looking forward to seeing if I can improve my lifetime PB next year at Reading.

Fun and flexible!

Having followed Ben on Strava for a while I decided to use his Half marathon plan to work towards a PB. I really enjoyed the flexibility of the workouts and will now give the full marathon a go!
