After years of the odd 10k decided at 59 to give the Half Marathon a go and with your tips and following your awesome training plan finished it in 1 hour 52 minutes. Onwards to the next one. Keep up the great work😀🏃♂️
I used this program for my first half marathon and it was super easy to follow and fit into a busy lifestyle. I exceed my expectation and got a great time.
Not ran the distance since my 1st 4 half's ran in 2019. Manchester 1 40 to Sheffield 1 45 (5 mile climb from start) running milage well down last 12 months after knee issues turns out it's degenerative wear tear in right medial meniscus after MRI in June. Plan clear n easy but will probably purchase next level up. Got 11 weeks to worksop half I deferred from last year
Good plan, decent variety of speed work, recovery, hills etc. Clearly explained and good having in miles and km. Keep Getting It Done 🙂
Really like the plan! It’s simple, easy to follow and strikes a good balance between rest days, running and strength / cross training etc. will certainly aim to build from this and would use intermediate / advanced plans in future!
Recently used this plan for my first half marathon. Found the weekday sessions manageable around work and family life, and the variation in pace on the long runs made it easier to mentally split them into smaller chunks.
Exceeded my expectations and ran Oxford Half in 1hr 54min!
Thanks Ben (and team)!
Great and easy to follow.
Will probably buy more advanced version.
Great, easy to follow plan. I have both this and Ben’s marathon plan which breaks everything down and includes an invaluable pace chart. I managed to reach 30k earlier this year thanks to Ben before getting a possible COVID illness which ruined my 2022 marathon goals. Back to basics and building up with this HM plan before Imarathon training for 2023. The plan is excellent alongside Ben’s YouTube videos which give great running advice too!
Really love this plan - has definitely helped me to get where I want to be as a runner.
