Hello running friends. I’ve done several marathon program so far. I’m more than happy to tell that this works, really. Offcourse you have to have good basic condition and perfect day on the D-day. I trained sub 3:20-3:25 target at Chicago 2022 and the finish time was 3:17:07. Thank you❤️
I can't describe how thankful I am that this plan exists and is that affordable! Just ran my first marathon under 3:20, because of this plan!
Thank you, Ben, for everything you do!
Preparing for my first ever marathon (Manchester), off the back of running a 1.38 Robin Hood half (Nottingham) with no training.
One mile more I was finished so really looking forward for this plan
Great programme so far and love the look of the balance of workouts and intensity. I’m that dedicated I am currently in Tenerife planning my early starts why?
Because 3.30 - we are GETTING IT DONE!
This is the 2nd plan I have purchased. They are easy to follow and well explained. The progression is good and allows time to adapt. On the occassion I have had to miss a session it is easy to swamp around and still complete the required mileage for the week.
Time to see what im capable of. Previous plans ive set myself a realistic pace and time to finish. Sub 4 goal. Im a 20 min 5k. 42 10k. 1.40 1/2mara. I did a year streak in 2021 5k a day so ive got a good base fitness. I decided to train for a 3.30 mara with pacing for 3.20 in training. I found this plan ideal. Such a different mix of training that I'd normally do. I actually really enjoyed the intensity.
I have only just started this plan but so far I have found it really easy to understand and follow unlike some of the other training plans I have done in the past. I'm only 11 weeks out from Valencia Marathon and because of getting injured I have started this plan at week 5. Hopefully I will be able to complete the plan free of injury and achieve my goal of sub 4 hrs.
Great plan so far! Wish me luck!
At the beginning of 2021 I decided to train for a marathon. I really enjoy Ben's videos on YouTube and trusted that his plan would get me ready for the feat. I hadn't run a marathon before this but was feeling (perhaps overly) ambitious and targeted a 3h30min time. I followed Ben's intermediate plan (think it was the old one) and completed the Twin Cities marathon in 3h39m23s. Very happy with that and now I have a solid bench mark to work up from. Thanks Ben!!
I bought this plan in hopes of running a 3:30, and after following it to the letter, I ran the 2021 Hartford (Connecticut) Marathon in 3:30:37. This was my first road marathon in literally 20 years, and I beat my PR by 14 minutes. My age-adjusted time was 3:06! I can't say enough about how great this plan is. Two things in particular I loved: First, Ben structures everything around 4 different paces (Easy, Marathon, Tempo, Interval), making it very simple to follow. Second, there's a lot of variation in the workouts so it stays fresh and fun. Thank you Ben Parkes!!
