My first time purchasing an actual hat for running. I am very impressed. My head was cool the whole run, no more sweaty baseball caps, thanks to coming across Ben's gear. It's light weight, looks good and it's very comfortable.
After losing 40kgs, with a haphazard methodology. I decided on a challenge the Taunton 1/2 marathon looks flat so that’s the one! For a change I took advice and a training plan was needed. Bens plan is clear and simple to follow. The gradual increases in volume and the reasons why are explained. Two weeks in and I’m still going for it . Cheers Ben.

Followed the advanced marathon plan for my Chicago block and managed to lower my PB from 3h29 to 3h13 ! I felt really good for almost the entire race and negative split as well ! This is the second plan I use after the half marathon one and I would highly recommend Ben's plans for any race preparation!

I got this plan as a ‘base template’ for my 12-week training block towards my SUB90 attempt for the 2025 Nike Melbourne Half Marathon. I’m happy to report that I smashed my target on this race - by a good margin that exceeded my initial estimates. Was able to sustain a negative split throughout. 1:26:06 Strava finish time / 1:27:52 chip finish time. Absolutely buzzing! The plan has got the right staged volume ramp-up to reduce the risk of pre-race injuries as well as a good balance of speed & easy base runs. Thanks Ben Parkes! You’re a LEGEND!

So, with running clothing I normally hold off on writing any kind of review until I’ve put it through 4-5 runs, washes and drying - as by this stage you’ll know if it’s a keeper or for the nice but no cigar pile!
I’m happy to report back, this top is a keep - it washes well, hasn’t shrank at all, holds it shape and awesome colours!
However, most importantly, it’s simply bright (important coming into the lower light time of year!) and brilliant to wear! Moves well with my body, no chaffing/rubbing anywhere, wicks sweat and allows me to keep a nice body temp without over heating etc.
Really happy with this top and will be buying another!!
For reference, I’m 87kgs, 6’1’, 42” chest and opted for a large, so the sizing chart was spot on - if you’re after a more fitted muscle fit top, you might get away with sizing down to a Medium, but I like the fit and feel of the large, and its just the right amount of room in the body for me without being baggy! For colder days, you’d be totally fine with a running vest underneath and still be comfy without being restricted.

As a new runner, been following Ben's videos for a while. It's one of my references, so when I learned I could buy "Parkes Running" socks I instantly pulled the trigger! I absolutely love them! They are comfy, stylish and I was able to get them in the length I love the most, sitting just below the calf, something some top brands don't offer.
Being from abroad, "suffered" a bit with shipping costs, but I wanted to give back and thank you guys for all the amazing content in some way, so I just "ignored" it. Any chance we'll get some more colorful versions? I'll be back for more either way!
