It is a generalisation, however the majority of runners will be running with a cadence around 150-170. When I started my running journey, this was the first key factor I looked to improve and saw some results pretty quickly. I always targeted getting my cadence to over the 180 mark and most of the time now it sits between 180 and 190.
These are my tips to improve yours and become a better runner!
1 - Get a physical metronome.
I purchased a similar model to this one from Amazon. It was super simple to set up and you simply aim to run to the beat that you set it at. https://amzn.to/2JjPhhq
2. Use your GPS watch
A lot of watches will have a metronome built in. I can't possibly list every one that does, so have a quick google about your own and set it up!
3. Download a metronome app.
Free, quick and easy. Download an app to your phone that will tap out the right beat to run too.
4. Download some tunes to listen to.

5. Strides are a great way of increasing your turnover! Check out my dedicated video on strides here.
Also I recommend adding on some 1 minute ON and 1 minute OFF. So after a warm up, running 1 minute at 90% effort, then 1 minute jogging and repeat.
Beginner 4-5 / Intermediate 6-7 / Advanced 8-10
As always, let me know how you get on and what videos you'd like to see coming up!
