    Welcome to the Improver plan!

    I’ve designed this for anyone who has already run a marathon and is looking to step up to the next level with some more structured training,

    • Designed for people targeting a 3:45 to 4:30 finish time.

    • The first week is 17 miles or 28km.

    • The biggest week is 40 miles or 65km.

    • There are four runs each week.

    • The plan has both miles and kilometres.

    • It is 18 weeks in length, with structured training, recovery and taper weeks.

    • There are suggested paces for all the runs.

    • Terminology page describing each type of run, so you’ll always know what to do.

    • Plus discount codes with a few companies to help you with your training.

    • Space for strength training and suggested exercises.

    Manchester Marathon 2019 (03:48:14) - my first marathon

    On Sunday 7th April 2019, I completed my first marathon in Manchester, in a time of 03:48:14.

    The best thing I did was invest in a decent training plan. I opted for a Ben's Improver training plan, as it’s well structured & easy to understand. I value his knowledge & experience.

    The training plan was challenging but built up sensibly so confidence & fitness grew steadily and at no point did I feel the training was beyond me.

    The plan includes a great pacing chart, so every session has a recommended pace it should be run at for your finish time. I would recommend the training plan without hesitation and have since used Ben's Half Marathon Level 4 plan to achieve an 8 min PB.

    Whilst I was delighted to achieve a sub4 marathon time at the first attempt, it was never about time. I found greater meaning.

    I have taken the family marathon baton from my Dad. Hopefully, I can pass it onto my Daughter in the future.

    Most importantly, I got to share and experience, not only race day, but the full marathon training journey with my family.

    You only ever get your first marathon once.

    I wouldn’t change it in any way.

    I found the plan extremely helpful in prepping for my first marathon, 2019 London marathon. After discussing with Ben which plan would suit my sub4 aim, I went for the L2 plan. It worked a treat and I came away with a 3.56. The plan is easy to follow and combined with Ben's YouTube videos and Strava posts, you can even more out of it. Can't thank you enough Ben. Stepping up to L3 for the prep for Berlin in September.

    Great Product!!!!!
    Its very comfortable hat to wear. Easy to put on and I very much like the simplicity of the adjustable strap.

    In terms of practical use, it handled very well during my runs. I tend to sweat alot and I was amazed to see that this hat was able to absorb the sweat very well and stayed on my head throughout the entirety of my runs. Happy to say I can start off 2021 in high spirits, by breaking the 20min 5K barrier and this hat very much played into my personal achievement.

    Thanks Ben & Sarah for creating a great product. Will look to buy more in the future.

    Half Marathon Training Plan (Level 5 Advanced Plus)

    Brought this plan to help reduce my half marathon PB time and i am a month into the plan. It is simple to follow and allows accountability (it is sat on my fridge! Follows sound training principles of easy running to build up mileage combined with hard interval or threshold sessions which are always varied and interesting. I have already seen significant benefits to my flat speed and endurance. A fantastic plan and great value - Thanks Ben!
